The Texas Tech women’s tennis team began Big 12 Conference play with a bang Sunday, defeating No. 28 Oklahoma 6-1 at McLeod Tennis Center.
The No. 21 Lady Raiders (10-4, 1-0 in Big 12 play) swept the doubles point and lost just two sets all day.
Tech clinched the win when Rashmi Teltumbde defeated Whitney Ritchie, 6-3, 6-4, at No. 2 singles.
Samantha Adams, Elizabeth Ullathorne, Caroline Starck and Nikki Sanders won their singles matches, with Adams defeating Herman Brhane in three sets.
