Texas Tech junior offensive lineman Le’Raven Clark on Monday was named to the watch list for the Rotary Lombardi Award, which is presented annually to the top lineman or linebacker in the country.
Clark, who is also on the watch list for the Outland Trophy, is one of 123 players on the list for the Lombardi.
Eligibility for the Lombardi Award is limited to down lineman on offense or defense who set up no farther than 10 yards to the left or right of the ball, and linebackers who set up no farther than 5 yards deep from the line of scrimmage.
The 45th annual Lombardi Award will be presented Dec. 10 at the Bayou Music Center in Houston.
Clark, from Rockdale, started all 13 games for the Red Raiders last year and was named first-team all-Big 12 by the Associated Press and Athlon Sports. In 2012, Clark was a first team freshman all-America selection by the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA).
