Jennifer McWhinney and Amanda Haden, sisters of the bride, served as Matrons of Honor. Justin Duran, friend of the groom, served as Best Man. Deborah is the daughter of Doc and Elizabeth Turner and Marty Rojas and Cheradyn of Lubbock. Nathan is the son of Rick and Terri Kirkpatrick of Lubbock. The bride graduated from Roosevelt High School, received her bachelors in Kinesiology at LCU, and Masters in Science at ACU.

Jackie is a graduate of Johnson and Wales University in Charleston S.C. and has a Master of Science in Restaurant, Hotel, and Institutional Management from Texas Tech University. She is currently employed by Texas Tech University.
